Billy Crystal is one of the entertainment industry’s most popular multi-talented stars, bringing wit, talent and improvisation to his audiences whether appearing in Hollywood, Las Vegas, or at a corporate speaking engagement.
His films include When Harry Met Sally in which he starred with Meg Ryan, and the hit comedy, City Slickers, and City Slickers II.
In the 1970s Crystal did some stand-up at the Comedy Store and was noticed by Norman Lear. This was the turning point in his career. Later, Crystal became famous for his Fernando Lamas and Sammy Davis, Jr. impersonations. He and his impersonations joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1984. He spent only one year with the show, but was the most popular member of the cast and he earned an Emmy nomination for Best Individual Performance.
Crystal has even found fame without making an appearance by being the voice of Mike Wazowski, the green, one-big-eye character in Pixar's hit animated feature film Monsters, Inc. Known for his stand-up comedy, Crystal has even scored on Broadway, winning a Tony award in 2005 for Best Special Theatrical Event for 700 Sundays, a play he wrote about his childhood and growing up on Long Island.
